Eurosophia

Our origins: friends of Europe

At Eurosophia, we are "Friends of Europe". Our journey started with a passion for creating meeting places: the Europe Houses. These houses serve as permanent locations for gatherings, inspiring encounters and valuable collaborations. It is the place where friendship and understanding for Europe come together.

Europe Houses: places to share ideas and inspiration

We want to be an inspiring environment for everyone who wants to immerse themselves in each other according to the ideas of Rudolf Steiner's social tripartite system.

The houses are not in our possession nor do we have goal to obtain these houses. They are homes of those who support our ideas and offer space for gatherings, inspiring encounters and valuable collaborations. The donations we receive are intended to facilitate these gatherings. At the moment there are three Europe Houses:

The Hague: this is where most of our activities take place. This is also the business address of the Eurosophia Foundation.

What defines us:

Our deep conviction is that real messages are shared in the encounter and by really listening to each other. Short lectures bring out the different colors of European peoples, getting to know different backgrounds and what is hidden behind the different cultures. We talk about each other's culture, learn from each other's history and promote mutual understanding. Our underlying idea is that everything is valuable, every story that wants to be shared is covered. Everyone matters just as much.

Connections from the heart:

From a deeper source, we believe that every person is fascinating and valuable. The heart is always looking for circulation, and so are our encounters. These circular exchanges provide energy and inspiration, and form a learning experience in which everyone is given an equal chance. We learn from each other from a divine origin, where the human experience is beautiful to share.

About us

Eurosophia wants to build bridges between people of different cultures. What does it mean to be European in the light of current global developments? What social qualities and spiritual insights do we need to develop for this?

The Eurosophia Foundation organises meetings for Friends of Europe and fascinates Europe Centres, centres where regional and European culture come together and where people around the world work on understanding.

We want to further develop the qualities and cultural traditions of the different peoples (stories, literature, art, music, handicrafts, agriculture, gastronomy, festivals, etc.) and thus contribute to the emergence of a human culture.
